The other night I was searching through the Apple App Store looking for Halloween related apps and found Halloween Sound Shelf.  It caught my eye for several reasons.  It is a free app and has interesting graphics. Although I was looking for story apps for the Halloween Cyber Party,I thought this might offer many creative possibilities.  There are a good variety of sounds and various background music that you can play then select the sounds on top of the music.  The big disappointment is that there is not a way to record what you create, but you can use another app for that. One way around this if you are sending by text is to open the app on ipad and then under text on iphone press the microphone icon and it will create a small sound file you can send by text..  There are  10 best sound record apps that vary in prices.  There also are free apps in this category.  It would be possible to just play the background music while giving out trick r treats or having a Halloween party .
